Onion Raitha:



This dish pairs well with briyani and pulao menus. This can also be taken by itself. This is a healthy and nutritious recipe, particularly in summer hot days, coz it keeps the body cool and maintains the water balance required.  The main ingredient onion added to curd has a great medicinal value, onion is easy way to add flavor and has vision protecting Lutein and zeaxanthin present in it.



This recipe can be prepared within 5 minutes and easy too.



Ingredients:



  • Curd (yoghurd)           - 1 cup

  • Onion                          - 2

  • Cucumber                   - 1 small

  • Carrot                          - 1

  • Tomato                        - 1 small

  • Fresh coriander leaves

  • Salt to taste



Method:



  1. Take curd in a bowl, add salt to it and mix well.

  2. Chop  onion to fine slices.

  3. Grate cucumber, carrot to small pieces.

  4. Chop tomato and coriander leaves  to small pieces.

  5. Add all the above to curd and stir well.

  6. You can also add ½ tsp sugar, this sweet raitha taste invites kids to take more.







  1. Tasty Onion Raitha, ready to serve.
