Onion Raitha:
This dish pairs well with briyani and pulao menus. This can also be taken by itself. This is a healthy and nutritious recipe, particularly in summer hot days, coz it keeps the body cool and maintains the water balance required. The main ingredient onion added to curd has a great medicinal value, onion is easy way to add flavor and has vision protecting Lutein and zeaxanthin present in it.
This recipe can be prepared within 5 minutes and easy too.
Ingredients:
- Curd (yoghurd) - 1 cup
- Onion - 2
- Cucumber - 1 small
- Carrot - 1
- Tomato - 1 small
- Fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Take curd in a bowl, add salt to it and mix well.
- Chop onion to fine slices.
- Grate cucumber, carrot to small pieces.
- Chop tomato and coriander leaves to small pieces.
- Add all the above to curd and stir well.
- You can also add ½ tsp sugar, this sweet raitha taste invites kids to take more.
- Tasty Onion Raitha, ready to serve.
