Yesterday, I’ve been to my friends Navratri kolu &  tasted this healthy & easy Chana dal sundal.  The taste is awesome, that I  couldn’t stop myself preparing today at my home.




Here goes the yummy snack recipe, packed full of protein..!








Ingredients:




















·         Chana dal                      - 2 cups
·         Coconut pieces              - ¼ cup
·         Oil                                - 1 tsp
·         Mustard                        - ¼ tsp
·         Cumin                           - ½ tsp
·         Urad dal                        - 1 tsp
·         Red chilly                      - 2
·         Curry leaves                  - few
·         Asafetida                       - a pinch
·         Salt to taste
·         Fresh coriander leaves












Method:




















1.     Wash and soak chana dal in hot water for 30 minutes.
2.     Add salt and pressure cook for just 1 whistle.
3.     Grate coconut to pieces and grind to fine shreds.
4.     Heat oil in a frypan.
5.     Season with mustard, curry leaves, cumin, asafetida, split urad dal and red chilly.
6.     Add cooked chana dal.
7.     Give a gentle stir.
8.     Add coconut shreds, mix and turn off flame.
9.     Sprinkle freshly chopped coriander leaves.
























10.  Enjoy now the easy and healthy evening snack..:)

Quick & Easy Chicken Wings Recipe:






These chicken wings are so delicious, easy to master and quick to make. In this recipe the chicken wings are marinated in a spicy marinade, broiled and served with hot sauce. This can be best served with bread, rice or tea.




For best crispness, the skin on the chicken wings have to be absolutely dry. If moisture is present, it will keep the skin from getting crispy. To get the skin as dry as possible, we salt the chicken pieces on both sides and keep them in fridge over night.






Here goes  the delicious and spicy chicken wings recipe with the perfect blend of spices.


Grab an extra napkin and enjoy hot wings now..:)








Ingredients:






·         Chicken wings                           - 10
·         Lemon juice                               - 2 tbsp
·         Ginger garlic paste                     - 1 ½ tbsp
·         Green chilly                               - 5 to 6
·         Pepper                                      - ½ tsp
·         Yoghurd                                    - 1 cup
·         Oil                                            - 1 tbsp
·         Tomato and cucumber slices      - for garnishing
·         Salt                                          - to taste








Method:




















1.     Make a marinade of lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, green chilly, pepper and yoghurd.
2.     Rinse the chicken wings well under running water and drain well.
3.     Wash it with vinegar and keep aside for drying.
4.     Now marinate the chicken in marinade for 1 hour.
5.     Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
6.     Grease the baking pan with oil.
7.     Place the chicken on the pan and roast the wings until golden brown.
8.     Turn the chicken half way through the baking for even browning.
9.     Toss in any hot sauce and serve hot.
10.  Garnish with tomato and cucumber slices.




















11.  Your tasty chicken wings are ready to eat..!

Banana Flower Fritters / Banana Flower Vada / Vazhai Poo Vadai

Are you looking for a yummy Indian snack to enjoy  your evening with piping hot coffee ? Here is the simple & delectable Banana Flower Fritter recipe .  




This is one of the authentic Tamilnadu delicacy. In this recipe,  the cleaned and chopped banana flower is ground with gram dhal and spices  &  deep fried in oil. 




If you find time and a banana flower in nearby market, just buy it..!
Banana flower is high in protein content and is very good for stomach &  helps in digestion .  




Here, we go with the recipe of the crispy  & healthy snack..;)












Ingredients:






















·         Chopped banana flowers             - 1 cup
·         Bengal gram dal                        - ½ cup
·         Fennel seed                              - ½ tsp
·         Cumin                                       - ½ tsp
·         Asafetida                                   - a pinch
·         Green chilly                               - 1
·         Onion                                        - 1
·         Curry and coriander leaves          - handful
·         Oil to fry
·         Salt to taste














Method:


























1.     Wash and soak bengal gram dal for 1 hour.
2.     Grind it to coarse batter with fennel seeds, cumin, asafetida, salt .
3.     The batter should be thick, so don’t add water.
4.     Now add chopped banana flowers and grind further for few seconds.
5.     Transfer the coarse batter to bowl.






















6.     Add chopped onion, green chilly, curry and coriander leaves.
7.     Mix everything and make small balls.
8.     Heat oil in a fry pan.
9.     Once the oil is hot, take the balls, pat it to vada shape.
10.  Drop gently in hot oil.
11.  Deep fry them, till they are golden brown on both sides.
12.  Turn them once in a while.
13.  Once the vada is crisp, remove from oil and drain on kitchen tissue.
14.  Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
























15.  Healthy and tasty banana flower fritters ready to munch now..!
