Gobi Mutter Spicy Masala





Gobi Mutter Spicy Masala:



Gobi mutter spicy masala is a special side dish for chapatti, Naan and rotis. It’s has a rich spicy taste and aroma that invites to taste it. It takes just little time to prepare this healthy nutritious dish.



Ingredients:



  • Gobi                            - 1 flower

  • Mutter                          - 1 small cup

  • Oil                                - 2 tbsp

  • Fennel seeds               - ½ tsp

  • Onion                           - 2

  • Tomato                         - 2

  • Green chilly                   - 2

  • Turmeric pwd              - ¼ tsp

  • Red chilly pwd              - 1 tbsp

  • Coriander pwd             - ½ tbsp

  • Garam masala pwd    - ½ tbsp

  • Ghee                           - 1 tbsp

  • Few lemon drops

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves



Method:



  1. Cut Gobi (cauliflower) to desired pieces.

  2. Pressure cook mutter (peas) for just 1 whistle. (If the peas is dry, soak for 6 to 8 hrs and then cook it)

  3. Temper oil with fennel seeds, add onion and fry them transculent.

  4. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilly and sauté it for few mins.

  5. Blanch tomatoes and make puree in mixer.

  6. Add this puree to the above contents, let it cook until it turns thick gravy.

  7. Add cauliflower (gobi) pieces, peas and toss them to combine well.

  8. Now add salt, turmeric pwd, red chilly pwd, coriander pwd, garam masala pwd, allow to boil with 1 tb of water.

  9. Toss it once in a while and cook for 4 to 5 mins in low heat.

  10. Add a tbsp of ghee and few drops of lemon to the masala after turning off the flame.

  11. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.







  1. Serve hot with chapatis or white steamed rice.
