Paneer Makhani



Paneer Makhani:


Paneer Makhani is a popular North Indian dish made with paneer. It’s a spicy, rich and flavorsome tasty recipe with wonderful color. Paneer is a treasure of nutrition. It has best medicinal values. Its easily digestible and a rich source of Calcium (strengthens bone) and Iron. Paneer is  diabetic friendly, as it helps by giving the health benefits of reducing the development of insulin resistance syndrome. Paneer also prevents cancer and  stomach disorders.

 Ingredients:


  • Paneer                         - 200 g

  • Capsicum                    - 3

  • Onion                          - 4

  • Tomato                        - 4

  • Ginger                         - 1

  • Red chilly pwd           - 1 ½  tbsp

  • Bay leaf                       - 2

  • Cloves                         - 4

  • Cinnamon                    - 1

  • Clarified butter           - 4 tbsp

  • Orange food color       - a pinch

  • Salt to taste                

  • Coriander leaves



Method:


  1. Cut paneer and capsicum to slim lengthy pieces.

  2. Grind onion , tomato, ginger to fine paste.

  3. Mince cloves and cinnamon.

  4. Heat butter in a pan.

  5. Add bay leaf, cloves and cinnamon.

  6. Add above paste. To it add salt, red chilly pwd and orange food color(Kesari pwd)

  7. Continue cooking in medium flame, till oil separates.

  8. Add paneer and capsicum pieces.

  9. Cook covered on low flame.

  10. When the capsicum are done, put off the flame.

  11. Garnish with coriander sprinklings and serve hot.



  1. It combines excellent with Naan, Roti and Paranthas
