I luv sweets a lot. And Gulab Jamun has a special place for it in my family. Its delicious taste and easy preparing method may be the reason for it. And today I’ve made this for my son”s birthday party, and as usual it came awesome. U’ll enjoy this recipe sure…
Ingredients:
- Gulab jamun powder - 250 gm
- Sugar - 200 gm
- Oil - 250 gm
- Cardamom - 2
- Cashew - 2 to 3
- Almond - 2
Method:
- Take the flour and knead it so that there is no granules in it.
- Sprinkle ¼ tb water to it and mix well.
- Carefully add water according to the need, so that the dough is loose and spongy.
- The dough should not be tight or watery, as this is the secret to get tasty delicious jamuns.
- Allow the dough to soften for 5 mins.
- In this time, you can prepare sugar syrup for jamun.
- Take 250 gm sugar, add 1 ½ tb water to it, and allow to boil in medium heat for 4 to 5 mins.
- Turn off the heat, once the syrup turns oily .( by touching 1 drop of syrup, can feel the oily texture)
- And the hot sugar syrup is ready.
- Rub oil in hands, and take little dough, roll it to small lemon size balls.
- Heat the oil, fry these balls in medium heat.
- Fry with continous stirring, then reduce the flame to simmer.
- Fry them until, balls turn to golden brown.
- Take them from oil, and drop in sugar syrup simultaneously.
- Garnish with cardamom, grated cashew and almond.
